Kia ora! I’m Jackie or as many know me: the soap lady! I’ve been stirring my soap pot for over 25 years and teaching soap making and other courses for the past 15+ years. As a qualified scientist, making my own skin care products has always been my passion and I love that I can use my knowledge and creativity to dream up fun and exciting  new projects for you to try out.

The advantage of making your own skin care products is that you get to control what goes in it. No nasty chemicals or ingredients! You can make your products as organic and natural as you want them to be and you can make sure you use ingredients that you know to be safe and non-toxic to your skin and body. You control the whole process from buying your ingredients to making your final product. Check out the many tutorials on this website or join me at one of my many workshops!

When I’m not stirring my soap pot (or cooking up something yummy in the kitchen), you’ll find me either walking my silly dog at the beach, having a chat with a friend at one of the many local cafes here in Auckland, visiting a farmers market or simply enjoying life with my beautiful, supportive family.
