Natural Dog Soap Special Edition DIY Soap Box

I’ve been asked to make a dog soap kit, and here it is! Available now NATURAL DOG SOAP (only in New Zealand) for $70

This is a very gentle and mild soap made with coconut and avocado oil, and with added colloidal oats, to help soothe and prevent skin irritation, and neem oil, which is well-known to repel fleas and ticks. It is specially formulated, because dogs have a more sensitive skin than us, humans, and it’s important not to upset the delicate pH balance and natural oils of their skin and fur.

The soap is unfragranced and doesn’t use any essential oils. A lesser known fact, and something that I see worryingly all too often in DIY dog soaps and products, is the addition of essential oils. Just because it’s safe for us, doesn’t mean it’s not toxic for dogs, and common essential oils, such as peppermint, tea tree, and citrus, are toxic to dogs, both when ingested but also when absorbed through the skin, and in some instances, cases of poisoning have occurred due to a constant essential oil diffuser. Another thing to consider, is that dogs lick their fur, and that makes ingestion a lot more likely. It is important that when you buy products for your four legged furry friend, that you check the ingredients and that they do not contain essential oils.

This kit includes two soap moulds and it will make 6 cute little paw print soaps and 2 large bars of soap.

The DIY Soap Box – NATURAL DOG SOAP (Special Edition) contains:

  • your welcome letter
  • detailed full-colour step-by-step instructions (printed)
  • silicon paw prints mould

  • additional email with extra information, tips and tricks
  • exclusive tutorial video

It’s a great Christmas gift for dog lovers, or for those wanting to make gifts for their friends and family with dogs!

      • Hi Jackie, thanks for the response. Neem is an endocrine disruptor, and therefore if you were breeding animals, it’s not recommended but if I can leave it out and the soap will come out ok, then all good. Thanks.

      • I did not know that. Thank you for letting me know. I’ll look into it and update the information on the product. Thanks!
